Notification Center switch ON or OFF does not influence the performance of CalAlarm.

Calendar Alarm ON / OFF: when ON, CalAlarm adds a notification (titled CalAlarm) and sound to all existing calendar alerts. When OFF, the alerts will remain set, CalAlarm will only remove the added notifications and sounds. Switching the button to ON brings back the sounds and notifications.
Repeat every minute: the alarms will repeat every minute till acknowledged. To be able to Snooze all your events, please set this option to ON.
Snooze: when your alarm rings a notification appears asking you to tap 'Snooze for' or 'Stop Repeat'. This brings you to the Snooze box.
Note: when Snooze and Repeat are both ON, the alarm will repeat again every minute after snoozing. When CalAlarm is in the foreground, the Repeat is automatically turned OFF.
Birthday alarms: sets the alarm time for birthdays imported from Contacts.

Customize Quick Alerts: lets you customize values for the Quick Alert screen.
Customize Snooze screen: lets you customize values for the Snooze screen.
Suppress all-day: often external calendars will set an alert at midnight (0.00) for all-day events. Not an alarm you want to hear. With this button switched ON, Cal Alarm will not set it's alarms. The built in calendar app will still set its notifications with sound however. See FAQ how to switch OFF the sound of the built in calendar app.
Week numbers: Set to US to start the week on Sunday.

All alerts set for the past 24 hours will appear in Overdue. Tap ZzZ to immediately snooze the event.
If Snooze is set to ON in the Settings, the Snooze box also appears after tapping:
1. The CalAlarm alert or banner saying: Stop Repeat (if Repeat is also ON) or Snooze for.
2. The CalAlarm event in the Notification Center.

When the By Calendar switch is OFF, the selected sound applies to all calendars.
When By Calendar is ON you can:
- select a sound by calendar.
- disable CalAlarm notifications (alarms) for that specific Calendar.
